I Want to know what is a good setup for holding the sail close to the boom at the outhaul. I am currently using a rope loop arround the boom, want to know what others are using what works well. Have found this picture and would like to know what the traveller is. http://s51.photobucket.com/albums/f... =view&current=riggin_2006_0917AX.jpg

Peter Cobden makes a car that fits into the boom, other people make there own. Usualy running a 3-1 purchase with a cleat at the front of the boom.

some people use the same swivel cleat mount for the mast rotation as well.

Daniel,

There is a Tee piece Riley fitting RM98 which may do the job. It is a track slide to suit a 16 mm internal track and has a plastic rubbing strip to reduce friction. <img src="<>/cool.gif" alt="cool" title="cool" height="15" width="15" /> As per the image from the photobucket you would need to cut a slot in the boom section.

Most of the recently built Mozzies use the rope loop. It is simple and effective providing you have positioned the outhaul at the desired position prior to applying too much mainsheet tension. Using the rope loop also gets rid of extra fittings and is possibly less prone to binding than the slider. <img src="<>/cool.gif" alt="cool" title="cool" height="15" width="15" />

Regards,

Peter
