Secondhand Mozzies
Hello
Just wanting to know if there was much of a market for older mosquitos, I have possibly three which I could sell, yes I collect plywood. Two are 600 -700 sail number range and are originally built in Warrnambool at about the same time (1970's)from association kit sets. The other which I'm not sure about its history is around 1400 sail number range. All require re painting which I might even do myself over the year ahead, but just wondering about the market at moment.

I have just purchased my first mozzie and I can say that I found more on the market than I expected to. Unfortuneately most were in Victoria, one in NSW and one in Darwin. I reckon I saw probably three to four for sale in SA where I am over a three to four month period ranging from $600 up to $5500. I know of someone who may be in the market for one depending on price and location. Do you know the weight of the hulls and the condition? The mozzie I bought was a little over weight due to the lovely finish plus a lot of extra gear thats not required... I pulled 3.5Kg off it today just in over sized rope and niceties which are not req'd for racing. Pic attached...
Cheers
Tony
Yeah thanks Tony, like i said all need respraying, two have been striped back, and paint pretty shot on another. One which was my main boat has a Horizon sail made by myself years ago, in very very good condition. The others I'll have to check again, but i think one is a Hood sail, the other I think may be an older Hammond (horizon) sail. They're not worth much I know, and only one has a trailer.
