We really are falling into complacency here. Perhaps we could all make monthly reports on how your committee or position is doing. This radio silence is not good.

This month's issue of the magazine came out without a word on NAMSA, even though she had space for any news.
SO, let's make it a habit to make a report here on a monthly basis, OK?
Thanks,
Rick

Sorry Rick! Haven't much to report on the insurance side. I have not been in contact with Bob to check if he received the policy yet. I'm not suprised, as this is typical with a lot of agents - egar to get your money, not so egar to get you the policy. This is the only industry where it is commonplace to pay for something before you get a chance to "kick the tires". Not that I agree with this logic...

Any idea when you might have something definite on the insurance/regatta package?

Jay,

I recently spoke with Denece and gave her an earful about their woeful lack of getting us a copy of the policy. She said they've been getting complaints from others too. I'll call again...maybe she'll finally get fed up with all the calls and do something!!!

Sometimes that's what it takes to get Chubb and their agents off dead center. Maybe we'll talk to Ace next time. It would appear that some more insurers are taking a second look at marine interests again after everyone pulled out in '98. With our burgeoning membership, perhaps we could bend a few ears in the insurance community to our plan. If the mountain will not come to Muhhamad....

This little delay shouldn't really affect our sanctioning package, since the guidelines we set forth are actually more stringent than what I understand from the agent. Of course, the agent has no clue about the coverage, so I could be wrong...

When you do get the policy, Bob, I'll give you a new fax number to send it to and try to get it posted online for everyone to read/use.

I have been playing with the letterhead a little and have come up with a printable watermark in the center of the page.
I will print a sample sanctioning packet in the next couple of days.
