Thanks to Mr. Blackington, we have a certificate of insurance if NAMSA members who are running a regatta need one to include in their paperwork. I'm trying to post it here.

We have not received the policy yet, but will try to get that online asap. As a few people have pointed out, this is probably the identical policy that Hobie has, and it offers limited coverage for NAMSA members only. If a fleet/club, etc. wants to run a regatta under their own name (CRAC, CABB, etc.) they will probably need their own coverage.

So it really boils down to "who" is running the regatta.

Again, we'll know more when we get the policy.

Jay

PS - I have it in Adobe but can't attach it in that format.

Seems to me that CABB can have NAMSA Sanction the regatta and still run it with the insurance. If it is a NAMSA regatta, no problem. Most groups like that don't yell out it has to be call a CABB Regatta. They are sort of accepting the role of hosting the event.
Hope this works out.

I spoke with our account rep today. She said it'll take about 60 days for her to get a copy of our policy. When she does, she'll forward it ASAP.

Rick,

Let's keep reminding the sanctioning and division groups that if the division championships or other NAMSA event needs an additional insured listed, they need to contact you so that we can get information and endorsements in time. It usually takes up to a month to get an endorsement, so if they want an event to happen, they've got to give us notice THREE months in advance so whomever the landowner is (that's requesting the additional insured status) will have the documentation in place well before the event.
