Be sure to make your plans for the biggest and best regatta of the winter.., the Tradewinds NAMSA North Americans/Open Cat Midwinters, which will be the venue for the F18 Midwinters, the F16 Midwinters, the Harken Buoy Racing Series, and the Wave National Series Championship.
This event, which has attracted well over 100 boats, has an awesome venue; beatiful, sandy beach on a cove for launching, crystal clear water, flat seas and good winds, free t-shirt for all sailors, beer bust, two courses (longer one for the speedy guys, shorter one for the not as speedy guys).
Here is the NOR www.catsailor.com/TradewindsNOR_07.htm
Also see the story on the Headline/Welcome Page at www.catsailor.com or click the Catsailor logo in the upper left-hand corner of this page.

You are going to put the F16's (that beat the F18's and I-20's at the Area D's) on the longer course, right? <img src=

So one F16 will be on the long course and the rest of you are on the short bus (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Tback and I have some on-going business from Carlisle. For that reason alone, I would like as long a course as possible.

Hey guys!
If anyone needs crew my friend Angela is looking for a ride.
She's about 5'10", 150 lbs, extremely athletic and very enthusiatic and a very fun girl.
I was going to sail with her but I am going to have to sideline her for a crew that can fly down and drive back with me.

This girl can sail!!!! She crewed for me last weekend on my n-20 in VERY challenging conditions, big winds and HUGE chop and was awesome. If you're looking for crew, you won't be able to do much better!

4 or 5 years ago we did it in 40 degree weather with 20 to 25 mph wind! It was the best racing I had ever done. I remember beaching at Rowells Marins and stripping my sailing clothes in the yard and the steam that came from my body was so thick for a few moments.
It was a Stone Cold Groove!

I think that was 4 years ago - I had my 6.0NA then. 5 years ago I raced on a 5.2

.
Holiday Isle Resorts
Mile Marker 84 (just 3 miles south of Founders Park)
Phone: 305-664-2321
They have five hotels on the property, all with different names. You call that same number for all of them and pick the one you want. They all have different price ranges. If you want a peaceful one, get one of the motels farthest north on the property (closer to Founders Park). If you want to be where all the action is, you might want the Tower Building (also called the Horizon) or the next motel north of that. They are the closest to the Tiki Bar, which is far better than the one at Gilbert’s. Holiday Isle also has restaurants on the premises and I think food at the Tiki Bar, too.
Holiday Isle is the big “hot spot” between Miami and Key West.

For more motels, go to the Islamorada Chamber of Commerce: http://www.islamoradachamber.com/lodging.cfm
