[#28959]

Anyone have a set of plans for a Shark Cat ?

I have a set of Hulls that i'd like to turn into something
similar.

I walk on double prosthetics and need a Hard deck to move
around on ; a tranp doesn't work too well with me.

Thanks : Bille

I guess that you could put a solid composite deck onto any beachcat. It needn't be very heavy, but you would have to watch the windage once a hull is flown.
Some sort of ribs/rails built into it at the right places to stop you sliding about. these would also serve as stiffeners for the deck [Beam to beam]

Good on you, let's get you sailing.

These are my Hulls :

Even the wings will need a bit of a Mod ; a flat spot that
i can stand on about a few inches wider than my fake-feet
perhaps with a 2 or 3

lip, so i can't slip off.

I got a 6-pack of Beer that says it will be a

BLAST" after
it's figured out !!

Have you thought about getting a trimaran? Something like a Weta?
You wouldn't have to switch sides after every tack.

Shark Fleet #1

Follow this link and you can get all the info you need on Sharks. They are in Canadaigua Lake, New York. John Rogers is still building Sharks.

Tom, I've seen the name of that lake before and I've always wondered, how in the -heck- do you pronouce that lake??

Is it like Canada...igua?

And by the name I'm guessing it's right on the boarder of Canada...and...is there a town named Igua up there?

And it's not really near Canada. It's one of the finger lakes in upstate New York: Finger Lakes

Canandaigua is about 30 miles southeast of Rochester, NY and is a popular summer cottage destination for Rochester residents. It's the center of the upstate NY wine country.

If it was Eureka Ca; Than YEP . We couldn't get the rear
cross-beam to telescope in the hull; so i had to cut
it in 1/2 to get it home. Bin sitten on it for Two years
now, time to FIX Her or SELL it.
I chose to FIX HER UP;-------------I Really Like sailing!
OH -- Just looked at your Location. HA !!!
==============================================

Few other things i was told to do since i'll be sailing it alone A-Lot :

1) Make a mast float --- anyone know the actual volume
in one of those ? I'll place the high point at 30%
but make it swivel at 28%.

2) Make a past-center tension for the side-stays,so
that the mast float is OVER the hull in the water.
This makes it EASY to self Right Her

WHEN

i Flip it.

3) Make TWO reef points on the Main by sewing in 11oz patches
and adding grommets for 5mm cord. Then place a Lock on
the swivel where the boom connects to the Mast.

4) Flip it when Ya got help watching & learn to right
her myself, that way i'm NOT scared to Push-It !!
