Long, night. The DNS setup with Cloudflare and the new server location was complicated but in good progress when I went to bed at 4am.
Looks like most of the world should be seeing the new site. Still lots and lots to do since I've only been focused on the functionality and migrating data. Now if everything is working I'll start working on the design.
But the old website that served far too long is gone for good and all.
I notice some behavior when the new site went live. I was logged out of both sites. The new site was slightly faster. My cookies transferred from the "tempurl" website to the new website (now that was a cool trick!) My posts count increased. I'm guessing the post count combined those from The Beachcats and Cat Sailor into a single total. Searches are slow (guessing the server is parsing the "new" legacy data . . .)

Yes it was a bunch of work and $$ to get all the posts from both the old TheBeachcats.com forum and then merge the Catsailor.com forum. Hopefully worth it.
Searches will never be instant because of the shear size of the forum database, but they will get optimized and some query caches will get built up.
Another issue I have discovered: When doing an internet search and getting results for catsailor.com, it fails, and does not re-direct to the host thebeachcats.com.

😕
Thanks, try it now. best I could do was forward any requests for catsailor forum posts and topics i.e. catsailor.com/forum/* to the forum index here, and any other catsailor requests go to the home page.
