You guys who sail all year can't have all of the fun.

The F17 season here in the North officially begins next weekend at the Alum Creek Sailing Association, just north of Columbus Ohio. Two days of bouy racing on the Alum Creek Reservoir hosted by OCRA and ACSA. This is the first of 5 F17 Gold Cup events and also the first of the CRAM season points regattas of the year.

NOR can be found here:

Time to dust off and hitch up the boats and come race!

we sailed 7 races in varied conditions. everything from 2 to 15 with lots of shifty puffs. no one is dominating the fleet.

Only 4 F17s made it, there is 1 catamaran fleet for the regatta.

No results have been posted, but after 1 day the order of the 17s probably goes:
Batchelor
Gillespie
Kursch
Buchert

Not sure where we fit in the overall picture.

Final results are in:
Gillespie
Batchelor
Buchert
Kursch

The F17 fleet was also all within the top 5 of the overall portsmouth results out of 13 boats.

Everyone else missed 2 days of great racing. We got in 10 races with lots of practice in challenging conditions. A great tune up for the coming season.

Overall Results
