Quick question,

What size/length is the spin halyard that is shipping on the new F17s? I think mine is a little short and wonder what works the best.

Andy,

I don't know the stock length but I am using a halyard length of 76' 5

. It works real good with the take up system.

Andy,
Mine is exactly 80' with the cover cut off of the core at 40' with the splice 1 foot out from the spinlock when it's up. It works better than any I.ve everseen. I have an extra that you can try at the next regatta.

Andy I took the stock length and cut 3 feet off and it seems to fit fine.

I would recommend the stuff Mark Bachelor is using it looks slick.

I'll take a look at stray cat. right now I am running 68 feet (worked great for end pole), but is a bit short for a mid pole setup.

Andy,
I also have a tapered halyard which only comes out for BIG races. I cut the cover 25' cause I don't like the sewn transition to go through but one block. The rest of the time I use a full length 3/16

line.
