At Gold Cup #3 at Port Clinton, Ohio we had 12 registered and 11 racers. Could we get bigger for Muskegon (August 2 and 3), sure we could if some of the CRAW F 17's make the trek eastward. I hope some do because Gold Cup #5 is in Racine, Wisconsin (August 9 and 10) and we hope to have some CRAM and OCRA boats travel westward.

So far this season we have passed out $525 in prize money to nine different sailors at our half way point in the season. Ya can't win if ya don't play. We put your finishing position in a hat and pull numbers. First pull for $25, second pull for $50 and third pull for $100. Nice and easy gas money. All ya have to do is race to win prizes...not too tough of a requirement.

Hope to see more people show up for our next Gold Cup #4. (come on CRAW!)

Oh yea, still have time to plug the 2008 Nacra North Americans.

As expected the F 17 class is leading the way on paid registrations. Time to get off the fence and get those paid registrations mailed for the $50 early registration discount ladies and gents.

Lake Huron is up a little this year after going down for the last 5 years or so.....the good news is here in Michigan we have not been getting hammered like the poor souls in Iowa did earlier this summer with all their flooding...our Great Lakes are gently rising.

Well better late than never. I was unable to attend Muskegon so we handed out the prize money for Muskegon at our Caseville regatta.

The 100 winner was Andy Kursch
The 50 winner was Bill Gillespie
The 25 winner was Tim Hilk

So far this season we have passed out 700 in prize money. Is this a great class or what? This is not based on winning this is based on participation. We pull finishing numbers at the end of the regatta.
