I have a carbon fiber pole that was clear coated.
The clear coat has disappeared. What should I use to re coat the pole.

I've been interested in this too. I did a little digging and found an article online that may offer some help.

I would have considered using clear gelcoat but this may work better and is much easier.

Good luck!

That might work but I was also worried about using the wrong type of clear coat or paint. I don't want to spray on something that will dissolve the resin on the pole.

On my hot stick, i just lightly sanded it, cleaned it with acetone, and brushed on some poly resin. its not too pretty, but i dont get splinters in my hand anymore.
