Looking for suggestions on what to use in cleaning up (polishing) my crossbars, boom and mast. Thoughts?

I use WD40 to clean the beams and mast, its a great cleaner, removes road grime and tar and makes black anodized metal look great. Just spray on and rub off with a soft cloth.
