my bearing for mast mount is old and starting to crumble too much sunlight,1981 hull i understand that you must buy whole assembly so that the new bearings will install old bearings not available? How do I know if Mine has been upgraded is there something about the rivets 2 or 4 on the new one. I have two rivets holding mast mount to crossbar and a machine screw holding bearing in place..

You can buy just the bearing for the old style mount. If you
change to the new four rivet mount, you must buy the kit with the new dolphin striker rod. Did you sail your boat yet?
Pete no not yet am going to Glimmerglass lake staying at the campsite on lake. It is by cooperstown for the weekend memorial day and am bringing the boat so we will sail then. Just got to rewire the trailer this week and I am ready....
