[#745]

I need to redo the rigging on my p16 rudders. Any one
know the size of the cordage and the lengths of each
piece.

Since mine came from Pete I recommend you listen to him. Just use good quality line you don't want to skimp here.

I did make one adjustment I like you might consider while you are redoing it though. I rigged my up line with the black rope I got from Pete when I bought a new rudder casting from him. Then I rigged the lock down line with some good white rope. Not necessary but but easy to tell at a glance which one you need to pull.

Thanks for the info. Mine uses a round ball for one line,
and an aluminum t-handle for the other. Hard to mix them up.

Went to West marine today and picked up some 1/4"
line. All their line is 25% off by the way. The
1/4" is way to large for the rudders. What is left
from the old stuff is smaller than 1/4 but larger than
the 3/16 I also bought. I think that it must be swelled
3/16.

Mine has the ball and and T as well but if I'm telling one of my kids or wife to pull one or the other it's easier to just say pull the black or white one.

I use Murrays 39-0452BK, dacron spun braid 1/4" black, 4' for each line. Other manufacturers 1/4" can be larger. Pete Big Bear Lake, Ca
