[#6627]

Got this for free when I bought a pair of used Marstrom Tornado rudders.

Anyone who knows where this is from? Quite heavy and very well made.

Which Nacra model is it for? Compared to an old 5.5 rudder it seems to have the same build up but not the same rudder parts. Actually looking for upper and lower casting.

I have a 5.7 and it looks just like mine. I think many nacras use the same blades but I'm certainly not an expert in all things Nacra. Others here have much more knowledge than I. That said I might interested in having a spare if the price is nice!

Hi Tim,
Shipping from Sweden will unfortunately make a nice price impossible ;-).

Lars, I overlooked that part! I hope you get use of the blade!

They could be T rudders. I can measure mine and check dimensions. I have owned several nacras also. I question being a Nacra because of pivot hole placement being so far aft. I thought my Nacras had the pivot hole more centered in the head. The 5.7 and 5.0 rudders are much longer than the 5.2, 5.8, 6.0 rudders; plus, they have a little kick forward. But, my Tornado rudders have the cut-out in the head for the spring loaded lock to fit into.

Sorry, I should have tried the blade in a Nacra rudder casting before asking!

Should also have noted the bungy cord indicating Pivmatic.

Will use the blade in a sailing dinghy, need a casting without tiller. Anyone have one lying around?

Anyway this is the blade tested in a 5.5 casting, works like a charm, even if it maybe should sit higher up in the casting:
