I have an 83 H-16...both sterns are swollen and bowed...I am looking to replace both sterns with Mahogany plates and need advice on how to attach to hulls...was thinking of using fiberglass plates 2' long shaped to each side of each hull and epoxy them on inside of hulls to have something to screw stern plates into. Don't want stern plates ripping out on a hard Jibe. Anyone have any experience with this type of repair?
