Trac owners, restoring and sailing a Trac16.

I am new to sailing and have a Trac16 I am trying to clean up and put on the water. I have down loaded the owners manual and it looks like I am missing the mainsail halyard hook and jib sail hook. I would like to ask anyone who has one if they could take a few pics of these parts and maybe help with a pattern and dimensions so I can fabricate these parts. The owners manual calls for 3/16 halyard. Is this enough line/strong enough line to support the mainsail and cleat off if I do not use a halyard hook? Planning to put on the water for the remainder of this summer and fully restoring this winter and spring. Thank you for any help.
