I have voted,
The only reason I see for entlarging the width is Gato's comment about the ability to put a tent up on the trampoline and use this as a sleeping platform for weekend trips. But this is a rather far fetched reason and so can easily learn to live without.
Also seems we can reach an easy agreement here for a ruling that states (max width on platform = 2.0 mtr)
I propose to exclude fittings from this measurement so we can use eternally fitted chainplates, spray rails, carrying handles and possibly T-foil rudders.
