[#22408]

Sooooo some of you may remember me from a while back asking a few questions about f-16's. Well now I moved to Boston, and since Spring hit....ive been feeling the itch again!

Ive been sailing dinghies and am hoping to get into the crew of a j-24 or something similar, but I am still aching to test out a cat, hopefully an f-16.

Are there any f-16 sailors nearby that would be willing to give me a ride sometime?

Thanks! Now back to watching the I-14 scene from the movie Wind hehe

That is a great scene! Best part of the movie in my opinion. Not only becouse of the action, but becouse they actually look like they have fun. Wonder if the 'starts' really was sailing the boats.. Guess not?

Sorry for not knowing anybody with an F16 in Boston. I would also be interesting to know if there are F16s there.

Yesterday I was able to take out a laser, and what a difference from a mercury hehehe, its nice being able to turn in a dime, and power up/down in an instant.

Rolf, I agree. The main reason why I love that movie is they really show a passion for sailing, its the only commercial movie I have seen that really achieves that.

See if you can find Rick Bliss, who is/was a cat dealer up in the greater Boston area. There is also a group that races up north in NH and Maine, and a group of A cat sailors in Rhode Island, Newport I think, not a bad drive from Boston, less than an hour.

If you haven't found it yet Ricks info is on this event schedule under the June 7 event.

I believe the A cats are sailing out of Bristol Yacht Club, saw a few of them in the harbor last week I think.
