It looks like they are testing banana shaped foils on the C class cats now, like the ones the ORMA 60's are using.

If this is filtering down to the 25 foot C class, is it applicable to the F-16's (and others) also?
I notice that not many 30'ish multihulls use them (power to weight ratio??)

There was a discussion about inward angled foils on the forum some time ago. Are the principles behind the banana foils different from an angled daggerboard?

Next L.A.C. (C class!) is to be held in Perth 2007! Should be a blast, and perhaps its time to dust off some of the older boats in storage 'down under'.

Phill and Darryl, wouldn't having a design in the next LAC be fun? (and lots of hard work and $$$.. [yes, I am joking])

We will see if LAC 2007 happens.. It only give the team 14 months to get up!!.
From talking to old C team members its a 3-4 year project to built and tune a C!.. So unless its only the current Cs no one will have the time to put one in a competative boat/campaigne together..

Will be interesting to see if banana boards will make any real difference to the F16
