F16HP Uni Regatta, March 19 & 20
Gulfport Yacht Club has invited the F16HP Unis back again in 2005 to race with the A-Class catamarans in the A-Class Gulf Coast Championship on March 19 & 20, 2005. If at least 5 boats have not pre-registered by February 1,2005, the F16HP part of the regatta will be cancelled.
I, personally, wouldn't mind seeing a hooter in the race. Some time back we discussed this and agreed that the best thing to do was to include a hooter boat in the field and get some trully comparable data on the subject. This seems like the first real chance of doing it. I'm all thrilled to see it.
I expect to see very good performance from you in the light winds or drifters. And at mark roundings. I leave it to the organisation to decide how to rate you.
As far as I'm concerned a special experiment dispensation is available for you. However the US class and Regatta committee have the last say in this.

Last year I lost by 1 point, and that is not going to happen again. I will be there and looking to dethrown Jennifer. I would hope the F16's in the State of Florida would be attending so I can beat you all.
there is also a possibly from what has been heard that the new blade may be done and attending.
Pre-register soon so I know my competition and I can start taking names of who I will be leaving in my wake.
Chuck,
If necessary we will have to work some blocking techniques to beat Jennifer.
Time is running out to register for the F16HP Uni regatta in March. We currently have only 3 confirmed and 1 tentative registered. I have spoken with Matt and Chuck and both say they are going to try and make it but neither have made a definite commitment. If they both attend, we would definitely have enough to race. If Matt has any more of the first 5 Blades built by then, we could have more.
