First for Tim Bohan on Blade 72 soon to be Blade 777 on GYC club racing held on October 6th, 2007. He literally smoked everyone. First to A, first to C first over line. Nothing but bullets.

Robi, I was third to the first A mark in each race, behind two A cats. After the downwind leg however...

And Jennifer beat me to the A mark on the third leg, 3rd race, but I was able to catch her downwind again. But thanks for the press.

I'm sure our rating will go down next year, but in any case, trying to rate a non-spinnaker boat against a spinnaker boat is never going to work out right.

Tim in the first race you were first to A, I was second. Jennifer was right behind me maybe by 20 yrds so was Patrick.

The other races, I did not race intelligently so I cant comment.

I must be suffering brain fade, I thought I was 3rd around behind two A cats (I didn't see who) in each race, and passed them going downwind. What ever, I had a good time. Hope to get back up there on the 20th. My arms, back and legs still hurt though, it's hell getting old.

I do believe the blades are starting to outnumber the other boats at these races! Sorry I haven't contributed. Going to wave the flag next summer in Michigan though....

The Blade is popular in Florida, I believe the fleet here has reached critcal mass, where there will most likely be at least 3-5 at each regatta, which is usually enough to make a class. The F-18's are out of town this week at the N/A's and lots of the Inter 20 crews are there too. There are quite a few A cats down here too, but I think they are getting ready for the big regatta in Key Largo so there were only 3 racing at Gulfport, even though there were several more in the parking lot.
