KPRR

I was leaving the Orlando airport yesterday about noon, on my way to ATL, then LAX. I saw the wind was blowing nice! I hope you guys had fun, wish I could have made it...
So I'll do a better job bidding in the future, when is the next FL regatta? Bouy racing, not distace.
Thanks.
I'm in LAX right now, headding back to ATL, then to Auburn tonight, to visit the 4 horses I'm putting through college, then off to Dubai tomorrow. I might get home on Friday.

Daytona- 6/23-24. New location (for me).

Saturday wind 16 -20 gusts to 25
Sunday. Wind. 16 - 23 gusts to 30
Sporty
Just when I stop checking up on you guys....
Terry Saturday was a perfect day and it never cracked 20. Sunday was a bit more but even in the biggest gust it was probably still in the low 20's. When the rig starts to whistle then you can say breeze on, until then you're just pulling harder on the strings. And Yes I'm talking about KPRR.
While we are at it... what does 6 inches look like? 🙂
Oh, and I do appreciate all the reminders at EVERY regatta that my boat is heavy. I'm older now so the reminders are helpful... you know becuase I forget stuff.
Disclaimer: I'm just f'in with Terry because he F's with me, this is not some F18 vs F16 thing.

Now Ding,
You think I just pulled that info out of my arsse?
If you look at NOAA.com for archives of May 26 and 27 you'll find:
May 26 HIGHEST WIND SPEED: 25 HIGHEST WIND GUSTS: 32
May 27 HIGHEST WIND SPEED: 30 HIGHEST WIND GUSTS: 39
Archived info doesn't give detailed data by the hour (or I simply can't find it); however, I reviewed NOAA the day after and recorded the info as hourly data during the time we were racing.
Oh, and can't tell you about 6" ... have nothing that small to compare it to.
Sorry to dissapoint !
Keep moving along ... Nothing to see here ...

So...when's the next local (FL) bouy race? I'm off this weekend, then working most of July, until about the 25th, then off to the 31.
I was in Hong Kong a couple days ago, stumbled upon a really good acoustic guitarist, named Hayley Legg, she's from Sydney, playing right in our hotel bar, for FREE!
Have you Aussies ever heard of her?

I can't believe you made me dig through the archives, evil genius you are.
The data is for Melbourne which is about 20 miles south of where we were and the low was spinning up off Jax Beach (Beryl) north of our location.
Okay your report is in MPH not KTS, got it. I still say it was only upper teens tops (gust) on Saturday.
I can also buy Sunday at 14 - 20 knots with a gust to 26 knots.
My apologies Terry and I'm sure you'll remind about 1000 times down the road. Leaving the unit of measure off does make for a more dramtic read though doesn't it 🙂

kinder and gentler
