I made my bridle strut from a 20mm x 2 mm round plain hardware store aluminium. It's length is 340 mm. However I modified my bridle wires lengths so you must work out your own length. Also I think a 15 mm by 2 mm is alu tube is strong enough.
I only used this section as it was the first available section at a very short notice. You'll remember that we fitted the selftacker very late to my boat.
