Hi all,
I'm replacing all the running rigging for an 86 TheMightyHobie18 Magnum I just bought and was wondering about how high tech the line needs to be. Coming from a F-31 tri I'm used to going with low-stretch high tech lines (that certainly weren't available when we had our first H18M 20 years ago). So here are my questions:

What rope do you recommend for the halyards & sheets? And while I'm at it how much line should I add to the sheets for being able to hold on to them when double trapped out off the wings? Thanks in advance for your replies

Hey doc I'll look up my old 18 notes if i can find them. I like the rob line for the main and the jib halyard is low stretch, but the main you just need something that runs up and down easy. the tension is on the hook. You may want to post that question on the Hobie forum web site. More H-18 sailors there.

Thanks. Willco. I have the lengths and diameters from the Hobie site.
