I'm setting up a new Infusion and am trying to figure out how to connect the provided line line to the hoop to keep it from twisting.
Do I need to drill a hole through the port side of the hoop somewhere? I don't see any other way to tie on to it.

I think you mean the line that goes to the bridle on the port side?
If so, you need to tie a bowline around the spi pole in front of the ring, then pull the rope into the groove on the ring and lead it to the bridle, it will stay in the groove once its tied to the bridle.
