[#29811]

Saw this ad while browsing Sail1Design this morning. Wondering if anyone knows the boat/owner because the price is very, very good!

Basically nothing in the description about the auctual boat, that's fishy.

Exactly, I emailed the seller a nice list of specific questions.... we'll see what I hear back. If the ad is legit it would be an awesome opportunity for someone to grab a competitive hull, even if it needs new sails.

Inruil mogelijk
6 month Garantee

Ummm, I'm skeptical. $4K for an Infusion is waaaaay too good to be true. At least I hope the value of my boat hasn't dropped that far!

Boat is 2 hours away if it is real might be taking a trip.

Same guy has a plane for sale in Australia, looking more like spam.

Inruil mogelijk

is Dutch for trade-in possible, description is probably ripped from the Nacra Europe classifieds.

Smells like a scam.

Pretty certain it is a scam- he sent me pictures of an old Nacra F18, and also mentioned he had an F20 Nacra Infusion for sale as well....

I don't know of any Infusions in the Richmond area. Who is sailing what in the Virginia Beach region, anyone here know?

Ours is the only Infusion in Annapolis/Galesville. There is a old style Nacra F18 at the club that has been abandoned for 2 years.

is that the kind of thing you send to the law enforcement people so they can try and find the perp?

I recall someone posted a running dialogue they were having with the Nigerian oil prince a few years back. Classic stuff...

Photos I received aren't generic, nor on google. Still treating this as a scam though...anyone have a Nacra Infusion near Richmond that doesn't have a lock on the trailer?

There must be something wrong:
if you look at the specs, they are not the F18 ones. It is a 16!

99.9% sure it's a scam. Still no pictures of the sails and no HIN #.

yes, certainly ask for details:

Sail #s
Hull ID/VIN #
Trailer VIN #

You can even ask the local law enforcement to check the VIN (at least of the trailer, if not the boat) to see if it's currently listed as missing/salvaged/stolen.

If you get an address, I live in Richmond and could do a drive by.

It was a total scam. Boat wasn't in Richmond, he didn't want to meet just wanted to ship it to me, wouldn't pick up the phone just text messages. AKA all b.s, must have pulled the plug when he realized Nacra Infusion shoppers have an above average IQ.

That's funny:
Item: Nacra Infusion F18
Manufacturer: AHPC

Epic fail. LOL.
