How would you rate the following sails? And, for sake of argument, they are all brand new and the boat they are going on will have the same mast (lets go with Hobie Tiger/NACRA F18 vintage) and the pre-bend per the sail makers specs...
1.) Stock Hobie Tiger Sail
2.) EP NACRA F-18 Sail
3.) Performance F18 (not Infusion) which I believe was on the later NACRA F18s.
The Tiger sails were fast.
Tiger mast appears more tunable and faster than the old style Nacra F18 mast. Neither offer the performance of the Infusion, Capricorn, Wildcat etc. wing masts.
on what mast? There is a huge difference between Tiger masts and newer style masts.
For the sake of discussion, lets use the 2004/2005 vintage Tiger mast.
Then assuming price isn't an issue go the STX tiger sails. If you have a nacra f18 mast (not infusion) you want to buy of someone nearby because every mast seemed to be different.
