Hey everyone! Thanks everyone for the help on the trampoline; my girlfriend's dad is owed quite a bit of money from a local sailing shop, so they're going to make a trampoline for me for free! So, that problems out of the way.
Now, a new problem has cropped up. I don't know how to get the sail up on my Aquacat14! I'm so used to my dad's Glastron Alpha and girlfriend's starfish that the sail on this thing is driving me nuts! Can anyone give me any pointers, or directions, or maybe even documentation? That would be a lot better than having that huge sail falling over again

Actually, even better would be if someone had a "closeup" picture on an Aquacat. That would give me enough of an idea how to get the sail up without cracking my back.
The Aqua Cat is manufactured by American Sail, Inc. Go to their website, www.americansail.com/ and click on Aqua Cat 14. There is a picture, and if that still doesn't help, you can contact the manufacturer for help.
Sorry, I can't help you on your aquacat rigging. I just have a short story and comment on aquacats, etc.
The first sailboat I was ever on was an aquacat. This was as a small boy in the late 60's/early 70's. Pre Hobie 16 days. I really don't remember much details, but do have home movies (super 8) of it. I then grew up learning to sail sunfish type boats. But always wanted a cat because of that aquacat, and later Hobies, that were on the beach. Later a Hobie 16 was one of my first major purchases once graduating college. Now I race a Nacra. I was at a boat show a few years ago and was absolutely shocked to see new aquacats for sale. I can't believe they still make them.
Most people who post to this forum are the experienced sailors. And sometimes don't treat a boat like the Hobie Wave with much respect. It may not be the fastest, but a cheaper, simpler boat like that is what will bring people to this sport, just like it did me.
