Can't Accept Credit...Where Credit is not Due.

Uni5.5 Mike posted on the old forum, 09/03/01, that my wife and I got line honors at the Union Cup Regatta. I need to correct that information, in all fairness to the crews that won trophies. I believe that the person that made that statement to Uni 5.5 was referring to The

Liberty

distance race. We were first in A fleet and first boat to finish. At the Union Cup... although we managed a

textbook start

on the fleet, we were the third boat to finish and finished in fifth place. John and Dennis (Nacra 6.0)...Smitty and Ron (Hobie 20) eased us out. G-Cat Hans did the correction factor on his 5.7, as did Rocco and Tony on the Mystere 5.5. It was a very close race, and my hat goes off to all that entered the race.
