Dagger Board Height Control
Um the AC45s are adjusted at the board basically like ours.
The AC72 use hydraulics and goffee grinder pumps to adjust theirs. I can't see that catching on on a beach cat.
Lots of beach cats have the control line cross over so you can at least raise the board from the wrong side.

we do something similar - a lot of a-cats and many F16/18 boats have a hole drilled mid-way through the daggerboard. A line or nylon strap goes through that hole and is knotted on the end. It is dimensioned such that the hole/line is still in the hull trunk when the board is fully down. You just have to pull the line/strap and the board will come up to about the halfway point.
Using this system over the weekend it has its limits, raising the weather board from the wire is an issue for example. Having a monkey crewing for you really helps. I talked to Tripp a bit about what they do, essentially there is a block on the side stays above the max board height. A line goes from the top of the board, up through the side stay block, back down to a turning block on the bottom of the stay, across the boat and repeated on the other side. A 2:1 system may be placed in the loop, all similar to the AC45 system.
