From Richard Kinnie, thanks.

The next time the Alter Cup is held in an F16, it might make things more interesting if they were to require a couple of races to be run singlehanded (maybe one each for skipper and crew?). It would be add an interesting dimension to testing the skills of the sailors and allow us to see how the top doublehanded sailors in the country handle the extra workload.
Speaking of which: John Williams annouced at the F 16 N/A's that the next Alter Cup will be held on Vipers, at the Los Altimos (?) [could one of you west coast guys fix that if I goofed it up] Yacht Club, in San Diego (?).
I hope I got the location right, you left coast guys probably know where that is.
As to doing it Uni? I don't know that the Alter Cup has ever been done on a 1 up boat. It would be very interesting to see it on F16's Uni however.
Wendy's been working hard and has finished uploading all the pictures she took during the sailing clinic and the Regatta.
Links been changed to: http:/
If you were in the clinic, check out the pictures, there are lots of really good ones in there. Again, if you want a full res version send me a PM.

I know I won't qualify to sail, but this will be the perfect time for a left coast vacation. See you there!
It's not a question of interest - it's a question of being able to sell the boats after the events. Since the Alter Cup committee has shown a distaste for the Hobie 16 (and presumably the Wave), those boats are out - for the time being. Hobie is not (yet) going to supply Wildcats, since they are selling all they can import. Tigers are dead - there's not a hope in hell of selling 10 of them this year. There's not much else left besides AHPC products.
And you know what is even better ?
This means that three times F16's will have been used in as much as 4 years !
Blade F16 in 2007
Capricorn F18 in 2008
Viper F16 in 2009
Viper F16 in 2010
What's next Falcon F16's in 2011 ?
YEAH !
Well done AHPC and Fun in the Sun for renewing their support of the Alter Cup event.
And by now we all know that F16's sell. I think all Alter Cup F16's were pre-sold well before the event even started.

WOW! All kinds of wrong. I will fix it:
Alamitos Bay Yacht Club
Long Beach, CA
We held the F18s NAs last Sept. The lightest wind day was 8 to 10 and the heaviest was 18 to 22. Great event and almost always a great venue

Not all of members of the AC committee are against the H16, but you are correct and there is a significant bias. The Hobie Wave was seriously considered but the Viper seemed an obvious choice.
As for the other providers... we would love to be put in a position of having to choose but from I've seen to date we are lucky to simply have someone step up and say they will do it, and for the past 3 years it's been Fun In the Sun/AHPC. Yes there was Hobie 16 offer but that was before my time
You've just done it. I'll put on the agenda for the next conference call.
