[#13139]

I am in the process of converting a H14 to a turbo. I purchased a Hobie jib block wire (mounts under the tramp)and have found it to be very loose when installed. I know that the purpose of the wire is to take some of the load off the tramp, but the wire looks like it could be 1-2 shorter or have a turnbuckle installed. Anybody have any comments or suggestions?

Thanks,

I can't help you with your H14 jib problem. However, if it's not too late ($$$), consider the magical H14 "Maxi" Bob Curry has created (see photo). Although the furling "blaster" headsail gets a lot of press, the powerful squaretop main is unbelievable. The speed he gets out of this boat on main alone is just not normal behavior.

Why spend good money on an old slow design? Unless you absolutely need a class H14 setup for H racing, his sail plan rocks!

Interesting design! The problem is that we race H14 and H16's
