First off, the forcasted track would not put Michelle near us.
2) They issued a vacate statement and made all the stores close by 3PM on Sunday (so the booze run had to be early)
3) We had folks from Silver Shores (seniors place with mostly mobile homes) come here to stay
4) We spent Sunday putting up shudders, dropping masts, and securing boats (slipping in a little football watching)
5) Settled back and watched the World Series in our place that is a hurricane-safe building (That is, it is poured, rebarred concrete walls and roof, 12 feet above sea level, surrounded by reefs and mangroves -- it would take at least a class 25 hurricane to uproot this place.)
In other words, we are just fine -- we got a little rain and now the winds are kicking in at around 50 -- thinking of taking the Waves out. ![[Linked Image]](/forums/images/icons/smile.gif){kind=icon}
