A friend and "I just purchased a boat and after a couple of times on the water we are finding that the Port Hull is taking on some water. Could someone give us an idea of how to find the leak or were we should look first. Thanks in advance.

The best technique that I have found is to use a shop vacumn (or any one that can be reversed so that it blows air out) to pressurize the hull. Remove the drain plug and have an assistant hold the hose against the hole. With a small paint brush, dab a mixture of dish soap and water on any area that could potentially have a leak (typically around fittings or the daggerboard trunks). The pressure inside the hulls will cause the liquid to bubble.

Note: Be careful not to over-pressurize the hulls as damage could result.
