Keep your head down Ding, they are coming your way!

I'm on the south side of this mess, it's sunny but blowing out of the south, 25 gust 30 down here, 3 foot waves breaking on my beach!

It's an interesting day to say the least. Sheriff's Deputy's at the neighborhood pier looking out at the gulf with binoculars. Hoping they aren't looking for someone. The Gulf is pissed.

we had storms all night,

we had a tornado come on at indian rocks around 11am .. through to clwtr/st pete airport (feather sound), accross the bay, hit downtown and now going east.

The line had 40-70mph winds, i hope no one is that dumb to go out and surf it around today

Always! Maybe that's who they're looking for...

What's the max wind for kite boarders? Somehow I'm thinking it's below 30.

I hope all the light airplanes at Sun N Fun are tied down, could be lots of carnage there.

Right now I'm under a tornado watch. Was a warning about 5 minutes ago.

I've had the pool pump on since 3AM with the drain open and its only dropped the water level an inch so far. Unreal amounts of rain.

Leaves and branches everywhere.

welcome to central FL. It will do that pretty much every afternoon in late July/early August.

You're just getting some practice today with this front...

I've been through a couple of those downpours back when we moved here in August. This one is just as bad but its got stamina. It'll let up for about 5 minutes at a time then we'll get hit by another cell that dumps another 2" on us.

I now have a completely fresh water pool.

Let it rain... our lake is 4 feet below normal. The sporty stuff came through yesterday but we are having full on gully washers almost every hour.

Do a few cannonballs. It'll help.

They really got hammered at Sun N Fun today, (a light airplane fly-in, Lakeland) lots of carnage.

Here is my neighbor's airplane, I think I'm going to puke...

I hope the boat yard at GYC didn't get schwacked too...

All boats at GYC are fine. The only casualty was a moored boat that broke free and washed up on the beach at the club.

Reported this morning a gust of 88 mph at the Skyway Bridge yesterday.

Measured 8 inches in several containers on my patio yesterday. One day, 8 inches! Wow!

The creek in my backyard went up 9 vertical feet and the volume went from 6 cubic feet per second to over 1000. Erosion is the big issue for me now. I'll need a big PFD for my house soon.

Wish it wasn't such a pain in the butt to attach files on this site or I would post a pic of the trashed SuperCat20 that cartwheeled up the beach in Winter Haven yesterday. Spent a week down there a month ago completely re-fitting it, and yesterday all work went out the window! At least it didn't go THROUGH the window! Anyone looking for a brand new main and jib for a SC20 short rig?

ugh... horrible.
Was it tied down? (not sure even tying it down would have prevented flying when gusts get up that high)
