[#16717]

I have been talking to the owner of this boat--looks like the hulls would make for a good F14 project. I think with a Hobie 14 rig, it might just work out.

He says it is a Lynx 14. Does anyone know anything about this boat??

Heavy? Buoyant?

Kinda looks like a Cheshire or Isotope. He also swapped out the steering for the Hobie system.

Looks a lot like a soft-chined version of a Paper Tiger with a jib...

The mast looks like it might already be Hobie

I've learned a new way to lace the trampoline. It "looks" good.

1: No downhaul, but a kicking strap?
2: Asymetrical boards, whow!

Looks funky. Loose the jib and the front crossbeam (if possible, depends on how it balances and the structure) and put a new square top main on it.

I did a lot of googling and I'm thinking it is in the Paper Tiger class. It looks a lot like them and does not have trap wires. I saw mention of a "Scorpion" that fit the class rules, and the logo on the sail looks a lot like a scorpion. If so, it would be a pretty light boat and a pretty cool "old school" F14.

Looks like a Sea Spray to me. There were quite a number of them in the 70's around here. One man boat no trapeze.

[color]I just found a picture of a Sea Spray and although it is close, it is not one.

I like the tramp lacing, too. How's it done?
