[#10939]

Can anyone tell me how to set up the mast rotation system for the nacra 6.0 ?
I know that many sailors are not using it, I just want to find out how it should work.

Thanks,

Thanks Leo,

My “rotator ?” is a lot smaller but I am sure this will work.
Are you using the system yourself ?
I was at a cat-race a couple of weeks ago and none of the 6.0 sailors were using it.
I can think of the advantages, but are there any disadvantages you know of ? (besides leaving it locked while tacking) .

Leo, nice pic, but the red should be on the port side, probably just a pic though.

Rob, I don't use it going to weather, usless it;s lighter air, and I can convince myself that I'm i'm generating more lift by inducing some rotation.
But, Off the wind, as in going to 'C' mark, or when flying my spin, I induce alot of rotation, with the stock system as diagramed by 'Leo'.

Incidentally, the rotator bar going out the front tof the bottom of the mast, is where I tie my cooler! Easy to get to and keeps weight forward.

Hi Todd,
Thanks for the reply.

Yes sir, it is just a pic. Actually, this is what my setup looks like...

My rotation control line is really a single piece, color for clarification only. It is looped and long enough to be easily grabbed from anywhere on the tramp. No excuses to leave it cleated during a gybe.

Paul (Leo), in all my rigging marvels, I've never had this line as continuous, Good idea, I think I'll try that!

And as others have said, my beverage/lunch/homebrew beer cooler!
