Gorgeous conditions for Day 1, breezes in the low-mid teens, results are up here:

http://www.regattanetwork.com/clubmgmt/applet_regatta_results.php?regatta_id=12718&show_crew=1

Zellmer/Valente overcame an individual recall to finish in a respectable third place.

Setareh/Garbero received redress for assisting Evans/Peil after a capsize.

Sorry about no mark rounding info, had a hard time keeping up with the fleet!

Similar forecast for tomorrow, should be another great time!

1100 start today, all clear.

Downwind start, set up to avoid NYYC team race circle, puts Rose Island right in the way.

Whyte and Giuliano sailed East of Rose, Easton and others went West. That was the order coming out from under the Newport Bridge. Zellmer was last to the bridge, but came out of the pack in good shape.

Next stop, Battleship Cove in Fall River.

Giuliano, Whyte and Easton walking away from the fleet.

Bad Toro capsized at South end of Gould Island.

More drama... Moore/Neri are DNF, due to a broken spin halyard, at the north end of Gould.

Leaders are about one mile ahead of back of pack. Madsen is another mile behind that.

At Roger Williams Bridge, Todd and Trip are leading on the foiler, Giuliano, Whyte and Easton not far behind. Big gap to the rest.

Easton and Giuliano in a tacking duel after rounding Prudence Island. Christina may have fallen in on port, and isn't trapping from that side, possible equipment problem. Port is the dominant tack now, so this will be interesting...

Easton and Giuliano taking the Jamestown (Western) shore around Gould, at least one boat taking the eastern side.

Mike.. thanks again for doing RC and basically running this event! We really would be up a creek without your support!
Love the

no sign of the foiler

was fun doing the dissapearing act each day.

Todd where are you? Why didn't you tell me you retired?

ummm we didn't retire, we finished before you could even see the finish line

If you were so fast, why were you still with the fleet in Fall River? #sandbagger

Disclaimer: In case anyone here doesn't know, Todd and I have been friends for a very long time.

I do a lot of RC, but cats (and this event) are always my favorites. Any time, I'm there for you.
