PDF for 10-year-old
I would appreciate a little help with picking a PDF for my daughter. I would like something that is comfortable for her as she tries to find an excuse to take it off as soon as she jumps in the lake (i.e. when she comes to shore after sailing and wants to swim in water well over her head). She is a good swimmer but I want her to have on a PDF since I am not comfortable watching her bounce around in the water without a PDF.
Would a PDF used by for kayaks be more comfortable and do they make them for kids?
Thanks in advance

I'm trying to think like a 10 year old...
Maybe take her shopping for HER pdf. Find a selection of USCG approved vests for her to choose from (while you have secret control over the selection).
a good pfd explanation is here http:/
I think type 1 is the most age appropriate. 2 and 3 are certainly more comfortable, but this is a parental call

I don't think any of the pdfs made by Adobe software will support your daughter!

Now a pfd, that's what you really need!!!

He he he! Sorry! The computer geek in me just couldn't resist a little dry techy humor this evening!!!
Seriously though, look for something made by Extrasport, I'm sure they have something to meet your needs. Probably even available right on this web site.
Cheers!

Bob,
I took my 8 year old daughter with me to West Marine and had her try on and choose the PFD. (Of course, I steered her to a model that made sense). They have different characters and graphics on the kids stuff so she was a bit more excited about "her" gear and it was easier to check the fit.

You can edit your posts for up to six hours after you post them. So if you post something before you go to bed and wake up in the middle of the night thinking, "What was I thinking?!", you can edit or delete your post. You have the option of letting people know you have edited it or not. Probably NOT if it is just some little thing like changing a PDF to a PFD.
See, I have just now edited this post and it indicates that it has been edited.
I agree with finding one she likes from Extrasport. Try this link:
