[#28808]

Question for the Carbon 20 owners: the 20 I was sailing on today in Singapore is missing the cap on the inner end of the spin pole that slots into the pin on the front beam. I'm thinking about 3D printing one for tomorrow, but don't have the dimensions. Does anyone know the outer diameter and wall thickness of the spin pole tube, as well as the diameter of the hole in the middle of that plug? Thanks!

Hi jeff

You should know better than to search for useful info on the internet.

I thought i heard somone that the infusion is 38mm OD. They look to be the same section on the few boats ive seen???? The pin has to be about 4mm.

Very true... I decided to make two, one for a 38mm OD and one for a 55mm OD. Used a 6.5mm hole for both... we'll see if they work!

6.5 would probably be closer.

Can the printer make a perfect hole in the middle?

It will be close, not perfect. I decided not to do the 55mm OD, it was clearly too big. I figure if the hole is a bit small it can be drilled out tomorrow. Figured I would give it a try as I am sitting next to the printer at work.
