The Second F16 inaugural event has been held in Australia, these 2003 Australian NSW state Titles saw 7 competitors and the series over 5 races was won by Andrew Williams and Petra Eggl.

As an indication of the close racing the top four finisher are only 3 points apart (7,8, 10, 10) with a tie for 3rd spot. Only Adrew William and Petra Eggl were succesful at taking 2 first-ins.

For more on this subject you are refered to the comments and complete race results at

The class is looking forward to inaugural events for both the UK and Netherlands and maybe even 2 other area's in the world.

Regards,

Formula 16 Class

A F16 class start-up in South Africa.

"The first event at which we will be representing the F16 class will be at Saldanha Bay, approx. 100km north of Cape Town, over the Easter Weekend 18-21 April."

"Our initial goal is to invite all 16ft boats to compete, in a local context this would consist of Mosquito with spinn. and Hobie 16 with spinn."
