Super Bowl - February Smackdown!
I say Colts 38, Saints 28!
Any of you guys around New Orleans have an opinion?
Actually, being a Purdue grad and long time Drew Brees fan, I'll be happy either way (but happier if the Colts win). I'm sure a lot of Saints fans feel the same (but opposite), with Peyton being a home-town hero too. It's definitely the meeting of the two best quarterbacks in the NFL!
Based on solely quaterback skills, I think Drew wins. But Manning is a great leader, and the Colts click like clockwork, so I think the game will go to Indianapolis.
It was almost painful to watch what the Saints did to that old geezer Favre. They just kept clobbering him till he could barely move. Toward the end, all he could do was shuffle around like Tim Conway did on the old Carol Burnett show. They won't get through our line so easily.
I got no dog in this fight, to use a Mike Vick term, but from a purely
motivational
standpoint, I give the edge to the Saint, as they've never been there before and they've got something to prove.
Payton and his crew, while 5 1/2 point overdogs, have a ring, have an ego, and I think they will get caught sleeping. If they wake up in time, they could keep it close.
In the end, it will come down to turnovers and penalties, as it usually does. If the Aints do to Payton what they did to Favre, well, he'll be dead by halftime!
My Saints will definitely give it a go, it will be interesting if they can pull it off. Just wondering if Miami bought enough beer for the Saints fans? Win or lose, Saints fans WILL have more fun (and we don't burn cars if we lose!).
Superbowl, good prelude to (hopefully) some good sailing!

Hey Clayton, we had a last minute trip pop up in our open time a couple days ago. It was the Saints
Family and Friends
charter, from MIA to MSY (Nawlins).
I put in for it but some senior A-hole grabbed it. Instead I got an ATL-LAX turn tomorrow. It would be a hoot to fly that charter...but only if the Saints win!

And I won $50,000 on a bet I placed in Vegas.
No, not really. I dreamt that last part.
Oh when the Saints, oh when the Saints, oh when the Saints go marchin' in! Oh Lord, I want to be in that Number! When the Saints go marchin' in!
Louisiana is in
WHO DAT
party mode!!!!! You could feel the state rumble at the end.
Wow! So thats what that feels like!
Congratulations to the Colts, they played well, but not well enough! Maybe next year.
This year is for the Saints!
Clayton
BTW, the first part is from a Louis Armstrong tune (For the uninitiated) Even babies here know that tune!
