my h16 got more damage from the factory trailer roller system than from the oyster shells so i started trying other systems- now i have 4" pvc rollers on the trailer cross beams but they dont roll well and theres a lot of friction when they dont roll. so, anyone have a better idea? i would go with a slick carpet on the crossbeam, simplicity is its own reward. whats the best slick carpet or any better solution than factory rollers with metal brackets that gouge my hulls whenever the boat gets off track? launching in a swift tidal current has left my hulls scarred. help?

You can buy marine bunking carpet at Lowes Hardware, and it's pretty cheap. I used it for re-lining my hull cradles. Home Depot may carry that stuff as well.
