Post a response here if you are going to joining us for the Great Texas

So far, I have heard that the following teams are looking to be on the line:
John Casey back to defend his title.
Tomko and Billings ready to take it back.
Rohrer and Holt on a C2, maybe.
Piche and Juke with Great Texas 300 sails to show off
New blood with Scott Young and John Moran, former Mallory Cup winners, heading into the world of cat distance racing.
First woman skipper Ingrid Bakker from the Netherlands teaming up with Aaron McCully
Lee Wicklund back with his high school sweetheart showing that the I20's rocks in the GT
Chris Green coming out of retirement and sailing with old buddy Jim K.
Shannon Galway promises to quit playing with his silly sideways jack rig in Singapore and come play with us instead.
Mike Beuerlein with his ringer crew pledge to be back sailing, serving gumbo and slinging Cuppies around.

So, are we going to see you in South Padre for the Great Texas? Let me know!

Steve

But he is a grammatically proper d!ck, and there's alot to be said for that.

I wouldn't correct an adult, (we're hopeless), but a kid? There's still hope.

I'm working on a ride with Todd on the Infusion. There is also another possibility I am working on.

so you're going to sail two boats @ GT-300? Wow, that may get you up to

Kenny

or

THE Chuck

status...

My current plan is to sail with Todd on the Infusion. If that can not happen I may have another crew and boat lined up that could make it happen but there are alot of logistics involved there.

I hope to sail the race but right now nothing solid.

Rich

Ferber!!! Get the flesh rocket to Texas. Have it shipped to Houston and I'll get it to the start, then just fly in. We need a sprinkling of N20's in this race this year. Anyone....? Someone bring a Tornado too.

If I could get a boat there with, a crew, a truck, a trailer, a driver, but no-one to push on the beach could I get a pusher? This whole team manager thing what does that entail?

Team Manager/Pusher is usually one in the same.

Alan Coutts has announced his intention to do the GT300. If the name sounds familiar, that's because he's the nephew of America's Cup skipper Russel Coutts. Looking like this year is starting to draw some big talent.

I PM'd Rich.

Now I have the boat I've wanted for a long time, but it would seem my personal situation as of now is a no go this year ;-(

Hopefully, that will change soon, and I'll be anouncing that the skipper that first raced under the Team Name TCDYC- and coined the name BTW, will be back!

I think you meant

big names

. Otherwise, it's a little insulting to the talent already partaking.

My team manager will probably be my wife. At 5 ft and 100 lbs pushing is not her strong suit. Even with Todd unable to do it I have a skipper lined up and I'll be on the front of the boat. Team name and details to follow when everything is in place. I may grab an announcer and tell him to push my boat or he can walk home.
Team

California

has a 90% commitment. (We will not register under that name but it is somewhere to start.)

What is the best EPIRB and GPS to have for this race?

I was hoping to get it all together for this year, but it looks like I will be in for the dash this year for sure. Next year I will be in for the whole enchilada.

I don't think any of the usual suspects that do this race are that thin skinned as to be insulted. Everyone is very light hearted. I just meant more good talent. <img src="<>/grin.gif" alt="grin" title="grin" height="15" width="15" />
