Hey ya'll I've got an old 14 with a ripped tramp, does anyone have a used one for sale or know where I could get one cheap. The boat is old and I only have $600 in it, I really don't want to lay down $400 for a new tramp from Hobie. Thanks

DId you look into having it patched or a canvas shop fabricate a new panel.

We bought one this last spring from an awning manufacturer who said, "Oh, yeah. We do those all the time." It hasn't been good. It's in need of major repairs after one season, so before you pay someone to make you one, get a recommendation from someone who knows the folks who'll do it, if at all possible.

Here's an option we've considered (this guy apparently makes 'em for less than we paid, for sure):

Hutch,

There is a fellow down in Florida (Tampa area) which will construct new tramp for 150$, hey it's not the age. My Surfergirls is 36 years old, I have spent about 900$ so far in restoration. If your Hobie is pre 1972, enjoy her and it's design.

Save the Hobies.

Mike
