Hey there,
I'm trying to arrange for a weekly rental of a hobie wave for our stay in Provincetown, MA August 6th through August 15th. I have a reserved mooring in front of our cottage on the west end that would be perfect for a hobie wave or similar that could sit on the soft sand at low tide. I would be open to other

fun

sailboats that can take 2 or 3 people and are a step above the sunfish available at Flyers.

My wife, a Boston native and has been going to Ptown since she was little, and I currently live in Los Angeles with our two boys, 7 and 5, but make the trip to ptown every year for our family vacation. I'm an experienced and responsible sailor with a deep sailing resume of cruising, chartering and racing. I currently am a partner in a Beneteau 38 and race Hobie Wave's through my yacht club in Marina del Rey, CA. Resume and references are available and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like fun and I wish you luck on your charter. Wondering how many waves race out of your Y.C. at Marina Del Ray???

Try Sturgis Boat Works, 80 Mid Tech Dr., West Yarmouth, MA 02673
508-778-9187
They rent and I've heard they'll deliver to your beach. Good luck!

I LOVE Provincetown, ever since I spent the summer of 1961 there, after my first year in college. Back then it was a sleepy little Portuguese fishing village most of the year and came alive (and weird) in the summer with beatniks and artists from Greenwich Village. I have been back twice since then, and I did not like the changes. But Cape Cod Bay itself has not changed, I'm sure, and it would be a great place to sail and explore the inside of the cape. Hope you find a Wave (or something) to rent.
