[#30043]

So who's going to McCrae this weekend?

I will be there with Spinnaker on Karma Cat <img src="<>/smile.gif" alt="smile" title="smile" height="15" width="15" /> and Pete N with out spinnaker <img src="<>/cool.gif" alt="cool" title="cool" height="15" width="15" /> .

Rumour has it that the winner of the Masters Games the Bundy Bear will be coming along to take out another title <img src="<>/shocked.gif" alt="shocked" title="shocked" height="15" width="15" />.

Good to see more all girl teams on the water!! Unfortunately I won't be there, as my boat is still in Airlie for a few weeks.

Hey Tash,

what do you mean your boat will be in Airlie for a few more weeks <img src="<>/confused.gif" alt="confused" title="confused" height="15" width="15" />. Are you back in Vic or coming back?

Well it was all wind and capsizes over the weekend 6 mossie braved the strong forecast with saturdays strong winds keeping a few on the beach ..
Garys moment of dismasting thanks to a side stay breaking at the swag was caught on film was a bit of a highlight... sarah and kate sailing together did better that all the boys sailing in all 6 races, both were looking very weary
last night..
with a quick repair and slightly less wind sunday saw all boat on the water
all in all a hard series but as usual a good time was had by all there.

Burying Karma Cat past the main beam, managed to assist in breaking the sidestay, Tim has already thanked me for saving him from a DNF somewhere in the future <img src="<>/mad.gif" alt="mad" title="mad" height="15" width="15" />.

Check out the photo sequence of Karma Cat coming to grief <img src="<>/cry.gif" alt="cry" title="cry" height="15" width="15" /> and lots of other great shots, including the first of the new Olympic Cat being sailed by Pip and Jimbo literaly flying around the course and winning races on a Yardstick 1/2 a point slower than a Tornado <img src="<>/cool.gif" alt="cool" title="cool" height="15" width="15" /> .

At sailingshots.com.au
then portfolios tab.

Really good pics, must have been a shock the rig coming down. What part of the stay broke? Fatigue or slipped out of the crimp?

Yeah I was expecting to hit the water in a capsize. Breakage due to fatigue above the bottom swage.

Was a pretty windy day on Saturday, hiking over the rear beam going dead downhill or even a little by the lee at times trying to keep the bows out, defiantly was not gonna put the kite up :S
