[#20193]

I have a very nice looling pentex main from
Goodall sails of Australia it is the biggest pain in the butt to put up compared to the original. It the Gdl. is cut flatter and just seems to load up it was made for my 6.0 and did work al little easier when I first used it but not much I would figure the mor used the easier it would be to hoist.I have some prebend in the mast now is this the problem? <img src=

I always hated putting up any sail. I've always used marlow pre-stretched line. Always a fight. So I finally tried a smoother, smaller line (5/32). I bought a cheap can of silicone spray and hosed the luff track and the bolt rope and my sail goes up so easy now. I think the smooth line did the most good.

One other thing to look at is the batten tension (too tight) or how close they are to bolt rope (binding).

I am thinking you are on the right track with the batten tension in the luff area. I can put the other sail up with one hand but I did not have the top batten in

Eureka
