May Treasurer's Report
Fellow Board Members:
I finally have enough money and a couple of issues to start a monthly Treasurer's report...so, here's the first one! I'll keep it simple for now, and as things get more complicated, I'll use Quick Books.
Gross Income:
Association Memberships: $420.00
Individual Memberships: 70.00
Total: 490.00
Expenses:
Quick Books Software 244.00
Net Income: 246.00
Issues:
1. I know there's been a lot of traffic on here about checks not being cashed. Today, I finally got our taxpayer ID number and can open a checking account. I tried to do this a couple of weeks ago but needed said number. I plan on opening the account tonight, and checks will be cashed shortly thereafter. I'll post a note on the open forum advising our new members of this. I'd send personal e-mails to each member, but not everyone provided one.
2. I was at Rick's Seminar two weeks ago, and mentioned the laborious process of getting NAMSA recognized as a tax-exempt organization. Rick told me he was going to get the name of someone with tax expertise to talk to me on the subject. I'll bug him about this when the Worrell 1000 is over.
3. Our first member paid $30.00 for his individual membership, but subsequent individual applications have come in with $10.00. I just want to be sure I'm straight before I either refund applicant #1 $20, or send notes to the other 4 to send $20. Are individual memberships $30 or $10? I seem to remember we lowered it to $10, but want to make sure before I act.
That's it for now. I plan on sending the next report on June 1st.

Treasurer
Hi Bob,
Individ. memberships are $10 as far as I understand it. That will probably change next year, we're pretty far in the year to try to do anything else now.
I just got in another $50 (5 members) from the Beachcats Chapter that I have to enter into the dbase and forward on to you.
